How Your Data Stays Private

Local Storage Only

Your Mastodon authentication tokens and app preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS Keychain and UserDefaults. This data never leaves your phone.

Direct API Calls

Best-o-Masto communicates directly with your Mastodon server. We don't proxy, intercept, or analyze these communications.

No Third-Party Services

We don't use analytics services, crash reporting tools, or advertising networks that could collect your data.

Mastodon Data

When you use Best-o-Masto, you're interacting with your chosen Mastodon server. Any data handling is governed by your Mastodon instance's privacy policy, not ours. We simply display the content your server provides, we don't store, analyze, or process it.

If we ever change this privacy policy, we'll update this page and the app description in the App Store.
